In the 1970s, Bob Marley summed up music by saying, “One good thing about music, when it hits, you feel no pain.” In 2000, dead prez said it again. Now, Jeff Chery revitalizes the concept with his latest release, simply titled “The Music”.

Over a beat by in-house producer Funky Beats, who was also behind Jeff’s “My Town”, the rapper verbalizes how he feels about music and the natural high it gives him. He also takes a moment to pay homage to the greats who have paved the way for him in the rap game, including Notorious B.I.G, 2Pac, Big L and more.

“The Music” comes only a week after Jeff dropped his first five-minute webisode in a series meant to offer fans a candid look into his life and recording process.
