Review: Livin Proof “I Am Livin Proof”

This time around, we take a trip down to the east coast for a listening experience alongside Livin Proof and his DJ Dow Jones hosted “I Am Livin Proof” mixtape. No newcomer to the rap game, Livin Proof spent time with the Roc-a-Fella family under Memphis Bleek’s Get Low Records, enabling Livin Proof to do countless tours with Roc-a-Fella alongside Jay-Z, Memphis Bleek and Co.
Onto “I Am Livin Proof” which boasts the first single “Whip It Up” featuring Kridakal, which had an accompanying video featuring a cameo from Joell Ortiz. The track features an infectious beat illustrated with reality raps that paints pictures of the street life in New York.
“Used to Be” showcases Proof’s versatility, a laid back smooth soulful hook is used as a canvas for Proof’s struggles as an everyday man. The street life is as evident as ever on records such as “The Union“, “Up in our Hood” and others. Every underground rapper in the world is well represented on “When Will I Blow“, an anthem for those trying to do better with a career in music.
All in all, “I Am Livin Proof” feels real and authentic. We recommend that you check it out here:
