Teen Producer Featured On MTV’s “Unwasted Weekends” Releases First Major Single

For Immediate Release – At just fifteen years old, producer JBass is already well on his way towards a long, promising career. He recently starred in MTV’s “Unwasted Weekends”, a reality series co-sponsored by Above The Influence which highlights the lives of inspiring teens who have proved that dreams can be par for the course when you’re not wasted. The show, which aired on MTV network, aspired to encourage young adults and teens to sans heavy partying and stand together in a clear-headed move toward a more rewarding future.

MTV, who had been following the young star from the beginning, approached him to appear in their series. The network also directed and produced a video which showcased JBass’ story and highlighted one of his original songs written for the show. The show was said to be so impressed with the youngster that they are currently making plans to work more with him in the future.

As a young fan of Kanye West, Jay-Z, Timbaland, and Swizz Beatz, JBass began producing at age eleven. He soon developed rapping and songwriting skills and quickly gained momentum as an up-and-coming artist. With mega-companies like Sony encouraging him to pursue his talents, it was only a matter of time before the youngster was recognized on a national level.

His latest single “Bette Davis Eyes”, recorded with Audio Stepchild, appears on Summer Music Watch, a compilation album featuring such heavy-hitters as Dr. Dre, Nappy Roots, The Geto Boys, Compton’s Most Wanted, Parliament Funkadelic, Kia Shine, Audio Stepchild, MC Ren (of N.W.A), Knoc-turn’al, and others. The album, which is available as a free download, has been featured on all the top hip-hop news outlets and has received substantial online attention.

With all of these things already under his belt JBass may indeed be dubbed as a jack-of-all-trades, but his passion is for creating music and his sounds have already captured the ears of some of today’s biggest producers. Producer Linx (known for his work on Fabolous’ certified platinum second studio album ‘Sweet Dreams’ alongside producers Just Blaze, Kanye West, Poke and Tone, and Rick Rock, among others) labeled JBass as “the next to blow”. Aljamaal Jones, Management partner for two-time Grammy-nominated R&B singer/songwriter Keri Hilson, pegged him as “The hottest fifteen-year-old producer in the game!”

Currently, JBass is currently working on his forthcoming debut album along with his team, slated to be released later this year.
